Fulham 1 - 3 Chelsea
(Heitinga 74’/Schürrle 52’, 65’, 68’)
Despite returning from a Champions League fixture in Turkey just over two days ago, and having no proper training session, Jose Mourinho’s men managed to bag three points against their West London rivals. An incredibly lacklustre first half performance (from both teams) left fans wanting more. However, in the second 45 minutes, Chelsea seemingly arrived, their passing was a little more slick, possession a little more meaningful and it showed. André Schürrle came up with the perfect way to show his manager exactly why he should be playing a bigger part within the team. By scoring. Three times. His hat trick included three well taken goals that sealed the points for Chelsea and helped extend their lead at the top of the Barclays Premier League.
